1. Public infrastructure: Increase access and use of digital technologies by establishing open-access, community-run digital hubs.
2. Education: Empower individuals and communities with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in today’s digital world through livelihoods development, trainings, resources, and hands-on learning programs.
3. Local leadership: Activate local leadership (community-led governance) of local digital strategy by cultivating local champions and establishing community governance forums.

Areas of Impact

INFRASTRUCTURE

We aim to ensure everyone can access essential digital technologies. SADA SOLU invests in open-access, community-run digital hubs in key rural centres, helping communities access computers, software, information, and a range of auxiliary technologies at no cost.

SADA SOLU currently operates 2 digital hubs.

EDUCATION

SADA SOLU offers a range of education opportunities for individuals of all backgrounds and experience levels to enhance their personal digital skillset.

In partnership with the University of North Sumatra (USU), we offer in-person digital training sessions on subjects requested by our partner communities.

SADA SOLU also leads a number of hands-on learning opportunities to equip participants with experiential skills across a range of digital subjects.

LOCAL LEADERSHIP

At SADA SOLU, sustainability means communities that are the architects of their futures. Our role is to activate local leadership by supporting communities develop their digital leadership capacities in ways that make sense for them.

In the past, SADA SOLU has facilitated digital awareness campaigns, stakeholder discussions, community engagement events, and more.

Our leadership development strategies aim to foster inclusivity and diversity in leadership, and we prioritize elevating the voices of underrepresented demographics such as youth and women in our work.

PARTNERSHIPS

Partnerships are an essential element of our strategy to help scale and enrich the impact for our partner communities.

SADA SOLU acts a central coordinating body for a number of partnerships and collaborative programs, engaging with local groups at the village level to international governments and NGOs.
